Hi. Shooty Dudes is made by 20XX Labs (“we”), a small indie studio in Florida. These terms are the deal between you and 20XX Labs (not Apple) when you download or play. We wrote them to be read, but they're still a real, binding contract. By downloading, playing, or creating an account, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't play.
This summary is just to help you get the gist — the full sections below are the actual binding terms, and if the two ever seem to differ, the full sections win.
You need to be at least 13. Shooty Dudes isn't directed at children under 13 — if that's you, please don't play or create an account, and we may suspend or delete any account we reasonably believe belongs to someone under 13. If you're between 13 and 18, you may only play if a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms on your behalf and accepts responsibility for your use of the game.
We give you a personal license to play Shooty Dudes on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. It's yours alone — you can't sell it or pass it to someone else — and we can take it back if you break these terms. The license is for playing: not for copying, selling, renting, modifying, reverse-engineering, or redistributing the game.
Everything in the game — the code, art, sounds, the name "Shooty Dudes," and all its content — belongs to 20XX Labs. Playing doesn't make any of it yours.
You don't need an account to play — offline play and local WiFi multiplayer work without one. An account gets you online multiplayer, saved stats, and a spot on the global leaderboards.
An account is just a username, an email address, and a password (we store it only in securely hashed form — we never keep your plain-text password). Three things to know:
If you have an account, we record your gameplay stats — kills, wins, win streaks, zone captures — and show them, with your username, on public leaderboards, where everyone can see them.
Stats and rankings aren't your property and have no real-world monetary value. They can't be sold, traded, or cashed out. They exist inside the game, for fun.
Shooty Dudes is newly relaunched and still evolving quickly. Here's the big one: we may reset leaderboards and stats — for example, after balance changes, to clean up after cheaters, or as the game moves through this early period. We reserve the right to reset, adjust, or remove stats and leaderboards at any time. Your early-days glory will be legendary, but possibly temporary.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account — or your access to online services — if you:
We may also suspend or terminate accounts or access where we reasonably need to for legal, security, or safety reasons.
We aim to be fair, but multiplayer only works if everyone is playing the same game — so enforcement decisions are made at our sole discretion and are final.
Shooty Dudes has in-game chat, and there is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior in it. That means no harassment, hate speech, slurs, threats, sexual content, or targeting of other players. It's a game about cartoon dudes shooting each other — keep the trash talk friendly.

Posting abusive content can get your account suspended or permanently banned, and content we consider objectionable can be removed. If you see something our tools missed, you can always email support@20xxlabs.com.
The game is currently free, and there are no ads and no subscriptions. We may offer paid content in the future — for example, a one-time "full version" unlock — but nothing here promises that any particular purchase will exist, or what it will cost.
Any purchases would be in-app purchases processed by Apple through the App Store, under Apple's payment and refund rules. We don't handle payments ourselves and can't issue refunds directly — refund requests go through Apple. And if your account or access is terminated for violating these terms, or if online services are discontinued, we aren't obligated to refund any purchases we may have offered — any refund requests in those cases also go through Apple under Apple's policies.
You can delete your account whenever you want, right in the app: Extras → Account → Delete Account. You can also email support@20xxlabs.com from the address on your account and we'll do it for you. Deleting removes your username, email, and stats — permanently.
Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data — it's short, plainly written, and worth reading. It's a separate document, though, not part of this contract.
Multiplayer servers, leaderboards, and accounts are run by a small indie team. We work hard to keep them running, but we can't guarantee it — they may change, be interrupted, or eventually be discontinued. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or shut down online services; if we ever shut them down permanently, we'll give reasonable notice first, on our website or in the app. We may also update the game from time to time, and you may need the current version to use online multiplayer, accounts, and leaderboards. Offline play and local WiFi multiplayer don't depend on our servers.
If we revoke your license or terminate your account — or you delete it — your right to play ends: stop playing and delete your copies of the game. The sections that by their nature should outlive this agreement (our ownership of the game, the warranty disclaimers, the liability limits, your indemnity, and governing law) survive termination or account deletion.
Because you get Shooty Dudes through Apple's App Store, Apple requires us to include the following — and it's all true:
We make Shooty Dudes with care, but it's a video game from a small studio: it's provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We can't promise it'll be bug-free or that the servers will always be up.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, 20XX Labs isn't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost data, stats, or progress — arising from the game or these terms. Our total liability to you is capped at the amount you've paid us for the game in the twelve months before the claim (which, while the game is free, may be zero).
Some places don't allow certain limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here takes away consumer rights the law says you keep.
One more thing: you agree to indemnify us — that is, to cover our losses, damages, and reasonable legal and attorneys' fees — for third-party claims caused by your violation of these terms or your misuse of the game (cheat tools, attacks on our servers, illegal conduct). That's not about normal play — it's about not leaving a tiny studio holding the bill for someone else's bad behavior.
We may update these terms — for example, if we add purchases. We'll post the new version on our website with a new effective date, and for meaningful changes we'll make a reasonable effort to tell you in the app. Playing after a change takes effect means you accept it.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules (meaning Florida law applies no matter where you live), and disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Florida — unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term right away, we haven't waived it. You can't transfer this agreement to anyone else; we may assign it to a successor — including 20XX Labs LLC, the Florida company currently being formed — that agrees to honor it. These terms are the entire agreement between you and us about the game (our privacy policy is a separate document, not part of this contract).
